We're dedicated to sharing information about wedding crafts: new ideas and trends, projects for you to try, money saving ideas, recipes - you name it!

We're specialists in wedding stationery, and our main writer Claire owns a wedding stationery business of her own. She'll share tips for making your own invitations, table plan and more - at a fraction of the price you'd pay to have it made for you.

The Make Your Own Wedding website was launched in 2008 when the recession was looming on the horizon and more and more brides were looking for money saving ideas.

We've approached the DIY wedding trend from a different angle: wedding crafts should be fun, and we see the trend for cheap weddings as an opportunity to get more brides to be enjoying crafts to personalise their day.

There's nothing better than being covered in glitter, glue, feathers and paint, with a messy house at 1am... and feeling that huge sense of achievement with your finished invitations, table plan or whatever.

It's that feeling that led us to create Make Your Own Wedding.
